Paraffin Products - Wax Modifiers, Inhibitors & Dispersants

Some liquid hydrocarbons become unstable after leaving the reservoir. As temperature and pressure decrease and the temperature drops below the cloud point, solid high molecular weight alkane hydrocarbons known as paraffin or wax are deposited.

Paraffin products are formulated to remove, disperse, and/ or prevent paraffin formation and deposition in oil field production equipment and in some instances reduce pour points and viscosity. This occurs with a variety of chemistries including surfactants, penetrants, solvents, and polymers. Paraffin products are highly soluble in oil and slightly soluble in water.
